All aspects of the doping control procedure for athletes with a disability will follow the same standards as outlined previously – except when modifications have been permitted due to an athlete’s impairment.

Athletes with a disability are entitled to receive assistance from a representative of their choice.  This individual must be authorised by the athlete and the DCO.

Using urine collection or drainage systems

Athletes who are using urine collection or drainage systems are required to eliminate existing urine from such systems before providing a urine sample for analysis. As with all sample collection, this process will be witnessed by a DCO.
