Other Testing Programmes

There are several Anti-Doping Organisations with the authority to test British athletes In-Competition and Out-of-Competition, in particular leading up to a major event. The WADC permits the following agencies to conduct doping control procedures on athletes:

  • Your National Anti-Doping Organisation (NADO) – e.g. UK Sport

  • Your International Federation (IF), including the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) in their capacity as an IF

  • The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA)

  • The NADO of any country where you are training, competing or residing in (this may be instigated by the NADO of that country, by your IF or by UK Sport).

When you are notified of your selection for a test, you should be aware of which Anti-Doping Organisation has authorised the test so that you can follow up the results of that test with the appropriate organisation.
