If you are considered a ‘minor’ (below the age of consent), according to the rules of your NGB, you may require modifications to the testing procedure.
In the UK, testing may only be conducted on a minor where a person with legal responsibility for that minor has given prior written consent.
Where an athlete is considered a minor, a representative of the athlete’s choice is permitted to be present during the whole Doping Control Procedure, including the provision of a sample, to observe the DCO (see diagram).
This person is referred to as a ‘representative’ and should be nominated by the athlete.
