How to have clean sporting success

100% me is about clean, sporting success.

Everyone around you who is helping you to develop and progress in sport wants you to enjoy sport and be the best you can be.

Always be respectful to those who take you to training, coach you, motivate you and give you advice.

Coaches, teachers, parents and your peers will be with you on your journey. They can also help you understand your anti-doping responsibilities, and answer any questions you may have.

Sport, although fun, is not always easy and there will moments of disappointment as well as moments of joy. This is normal and all top athletes go through this. What makes them great is that they take responsibility for their actions and are determined to pick themselves up and keep going. They work closely with those around them and ask for help when they need it.

Always try and ‘stay in the right lane’. You may be under pressure at times to do things that are not good for a career in sport and that you know are not right. However, you can only make it to the top by sticking to what’s right. Don’t get caught out – be strong, so you can always say that your success is ‘100% me’.

If you want to start learning about anti-doping then see WADA's leaflet ‘Don’t Dope’ which provides some basic information on anti-doping.
